In folder customization, change Folder Size, Folder Name, and Label alignment are the great settings option are available as a one of the hidden Yosemite features apart from. Very useful folder setting on customization made you happy on the big display, iMac, MacMini, MacBook Air, Pro, and Retina. Here I gave step by step guide about customize folder settings on your system. More about refer my video tutorial. Note: Settings are the same from the old version of MacOS to latest once. Only Look and Option changed but the way is okay and Strait to shown here. Apply Setting about text size and Folder size you must have to restart your iPhone/ iPad or iPod Touch.
Use Outlook for Mac with your keyboard and VoiceOver, the built-in Mac OS screen reader, to zoom in, or enlarge, the text of an email and make it easier to read. You can also zoom out and return to the original text size.
But here you don’t need to restart or reboot Mac device. Note: This setting for Folder text (Label) doesn’t effect on your Message chat conversation. But for change text inside Message Go to the Message preference Text Size Select Other from the fonts windows choose prefect sized text and type and save it for later use.
Still have you any questions on customization and Change folder Size, label size, and other settings please on the comment box.
Several points to consider: 1. When you went to a bigger iMac & screen you increased the resolution and therefore got more pixels and screen real estate. But the tradeoff for the sharper image is smaller images. Native resolution is clearest, most non-fuzzy, and you can choose a lesser resolution (Display in System Prefs) but with just a few settings down you will get dissatisfied quickly. Other than that you can zoom just the Appleworks window you're in by using Command and the plus ( + ) key as many times as you like, and back off with Command and minus ( - ).
AppleWorks has long been discontinued meaning no more updates, but there are still support forums. Your Snow Leopard is the last OS that will run it.
When/if you upgrade to Lion, or the next time you buy a Mac you will get Lion installed, and AppleWorks won't run on it at all b/c it's PowerPC. Pages will open AppleWorks docs, so since that's where you're headed anyway maybe you should go ahead and make the jump. Several points to consider: 1. Thanks for the suggestions. I tried lesser resolution - you are correct that the lower resolutions quickly become unsatisfactory. AppleWorks window - I didn't figure out how to use the Command +/- key sequence, perhaps because I use a Microsoft shaped keyboard. I did finally notice the ability to increase the view% at the lower left. The font is distorted, but easier to see at 125%. I still haven't found a way to increase the font size in Quicken.
Zoom just increases the register to fill the screen, with no change in font size. I know that AppleWorks is discontinued & no longer works with Lion, and that Quicken for Mac 2007 won't work with Lion either. Those are the reasons I recently upgraded from Tiger to an Apple refurbished Snow Leopard machine - the last OS to support the two programs. Pages & Numbers will open AppleWorks docs, but some features are not supported.
I have used the newer programs for some new projects, but still prefer just updating the data on some old reports. As for Quicken, I have 20 years investment data - the new Quicken Essentials doesn't support investments. Yes, I checked the box to 'swap windows & alt keys' to match the physical layout of command & options keys of the standard Mac keyboard. I've used a wireless comfort keyboard & mouse since 2004, with number pad.
I did buy a new keyboard/mouse to go with my 'new' Intel iMac. Actually, I was still happy with the 2004 PowerPC iMac, but decided to switch while I could still get Snow Leopard on the Intel machine.
I figure this gives me a few more years compatibiltiy with Turbo Tax, etc. At 70 years 'young', who knows if I'll ever need another change! Thanks for your help!! Apple Footer.
